Oops, someone got needlessly offended. :( There was a comment with 4,000 (more or less) exclamation marks about remembering the old guard (previous mighty men and women) as well as the new. To you (mystery writer) I say…

“Read on my friend.” Or should I say, read back to my very first post, “God’s Mighty Men, Women, and Youth” written on 10/29/06 and you will see that I’m talking to all mighty men, women and youth since the very earliest days.

Better to read it all than to make a bad call. :) I know, I know, cheesy rhyme alert!

But I would add this, God uses people to accomplish His perfect will. He could do it with no one but Himself but chooses to partner with us. What an incomprehensible privilege we have to serve along side our risen savior in matters of eternal consequence. So, again, thank you for giving your all ‘Brookies” (cool new term for SCC people — at least I didn’t say, “rookies”!).

Now, as for ‘the credit,’ sorry, that goes to God alone. The Lord builds the church, we are but the pieces He uses, I kinda like being a pawn in partnership with Him! Check out Matthew 16:18, Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means;rock), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it. Or, Col. 2:18-19 for an even more sobering reminder, 18″Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions. 19He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.”

God makes the waves, friends. We just ride’m!
