Hannah Montana Who?

Hannah Montana

Earlier this week, in case you missed it, an event that got way more attention than the evening God came to dwell among us occurred right here in Charlotte, NC! I’m referring of course to the concert (and I use that term loosely) of Hannah Montana.

I’ve got nothing against Hannah, in fact, from everything I gather, she’s a far better role model than 99.9 % of who’s come down the pike, but I was a bit taken back by the flat out frenzy and mob mentality created in order to get tickets for her show. And there was a bit of déjà vu.

Hadn’t we just seen all this with Hillary Duff (aka, Lizzie Mcguire)?

Where is she now?

She couldn’t buy a full arena at this point in her carreer.

But she’s one of the lucky ones.

What about Brittney Spears?

She’s no longer famous, now she’s just infamous.

For all the wrong reasons.

I wonder what would happen if we could harness that kind of passion and excitement for Jesus Christ?

Watch out world! You might just fall in love with the God who made you.

And that’s not fleeting.

By the way, for more thoughts on this, our pastor of adult ministries (Geoffry Janes) wrote a nice piece. Check it out here.
