I could never say enough about the Macivers. They have become dear friends of ours in the last 5 months. We’ve managed to condense what seems like an entire lifetime of highs and lows into not even a half a year. Beginning in September of last year, they simply wouldn’t take “no” for an answer when it came to support and care—grace and understanding—after one of the most painful times of our lives. They invited our family to their home time and time again just to talk, let us vent, grieve, process, etc. Soon they introduced us to so many other people who had quietly been the backbone of my former ministry for years–dedicated, “others focused” Christ Followers who were mature in their faith and wanted nothing more than to hear the Lord say one day, “Well done thou good and faithful servant…”
A few weeks into our devotional times together we all sensed the Lord was doing something more, and plans were made to begin building a church that was different in a sea of churches. 17 weeks ago, the launch team for what will soon become Impact Church began, and none of it would have happened without the Macivers.
Thank you, Macivers! You’re more than friends, or even brothers and sisters in Christ–you’re life savers!

Pete and Lisa are amazing people. They have graciously opened their home and their hearts to so many. Their home is a place of healing and has helped so many people who have walked through their doors. I am forever grateful for all they have done.
Sue Lloyd says:
I applaud and agree with this wonderful post! I have known Pete and Lisa for years as we served together in Children’s Checkin! We are so thankful to them and will never forget their generous servant’s hearts. We are so blessed to know them.

I see your Amen Jack and I second it! The first Impact service in Pete and Lisa’s home will always be remembered in the years to come. Pete might be “Fun Sized,” but his heart is huge and his passion to serve God is even greater. None of this would have happened with just Lisa, and none of it would have happened with just Pete, so I think it goes without saying that they’re an awesome team and can do amazing things when they work together for a mission and a purpose. We’ve been blessed to have them as lifegroup leaders for over two years and we’re equally as blessed to have their two wonderful daughters constantly loving our children. They’re not friends, they’re family!
Wendy says:
I second that AMEN!!! God truly blessed our family the day he brought Pete and Lisa into our lives. We love you guys. Thank you for being great friends, Godly leaders, and for loving our family.
Jack says:
AMEN to that. I have grown to love Pete & Lisa in such a short time that normally takes a lifetime. Such great servants.
