Leaders Lead

Leadership CrowdCommon sense, right?

Actually, no. I’ve seen quite a few leaders who seem to think the “leader” title is all they need to steam-roller over people and demand respect.

Sorry, Charlie—if that’s your real name.

Think you’re a leader? Turn around. Anyone back there?

  • If you checked YES, congratulations! You’re a leader to one degree or another!
  • If you checked NO, sorry—you’re just taking a walk.

This past Saturday night we met with the leaders of Southbrook and we had a great time eating (who doesn’t like that?) drinking (Sweet Tea…what were you thinking?) and getting fired up about the next hill we need to take together as Christ followers who call Southbrook Church home.

Our leaders understand that they are on assignment form God and that His work is more important than anything else we do! Every one of them leads ‘others’ at SCC! We’re building an army!

Nearly 200 “leaders” (We also have about 500 volunteers who serve selflessly at SCC) went away with new marching orders for a very special service we are having—November 8th—”The Nicodemus Project.” I’ll be explaining more about that in a later post this week. For now, I’m just glad our vision and purposes are in such capable hands!
