The other day my son was after me to go outside and throw the football with him.
It was 38 degrees! I thought it might be a better time to break in the new Wii Santa brought this Christmas.
So break it in we did. I’d been told it was a bit addicting.
“What?†I said. “That’s ridiculous! It’s a video game!â€
Now I need help! And you know what’s the most ridiculously addicting part (there’s that word again)? It’s not trying to get pro status on bowling (got it
), or tennis (got it
) or any of the games for that matter.
It’s the part where you create your own Mii to represent you!
How messed up is that?!
You can actually create your own hair color, eye color and shape, skin tone, eyebrows, mouth (notice I have a smirk), facial hair—even a five o’clock shadow (which I also have)! It’s scarey, right down to the mole next to my eye! Anyway, here are the Miis for my wife, son and daughter while we’re at it. They look so much like’m it’s scarey!
Wanna see?
Here’s Mii (Me)

This one was debatable, but what can you do? She wanted to look just like her mom…
and she does.

Rob,
Glad to see you able to wind down after the awesome Christmas programs that you and the staff put on. It was awesome and reached so many.
Thanks for your dedication and 2008 will be an even bigger year for God with your leadership and all who call Southbrook home. Here’s to 2008

I have to admit…I gotta little taste of Guitar hero this week and I can see where it can be addicting. My husband and I standing in the middle of the living room trying to rock out to Guns N Roses, it is not pretty.

This Rob, he had no fame

About his Wii
That’ll make his thumbs go lame
Now friend, you listen to me
This game is bad for thee
you’ll play until four
To get the high score
And forget you need to Wii Wii
I am so glad to hear that you and your family are having “family – time”. Our family makes family time a weekly adventure. Just like you are supposed to “date” your spouse and “date” your daughter/son. We make sure beyond the dinner time ritual (sitting together for a meal) but also a game night or America’s Funniest Home Videos. Something that we get to do together that brings laughter.
The best “stuff” gift we got this Christmas was called Cosmic Catch. It is a little electronic ball where everyone wears a colored band. then you follow directions. It is the best family gift!!

I am also glad to see everyone pitching in. This was on my daily devotional calendar today:
I challenge you: Release your grip on all those details! Find a few qualified people to help you get the job done. “Stress Fractures p. 26″
Moses’ father-in-law replied, “What you are doing is not good. You and these people who come to you will only wear yourselves out. The work is too heavy for you; you cannot handle it alone.” Exodus 18:17-18
That is awesome that you got a wii. If you have ever used aol instant messenger you probally have heard of wemee’s. It’s basically the same idea as what you are talking about above, except for its not on your wii, but aim.
Pastor Rob. We’ll challenge Nathan and Julianna to a game of tennis sometime. We’re pretty good, so be prepared to get whipped!
Nathan has read your challenge and he accepts…with one change.
It is YOU both who should prepare for a whipping!
